Membership at MWPAI offers many advantages.
Frederick, Thomas, and Maria Proctor agreed that arts and culture are the foundation of a great community.
MWPAI Board of Trustees Member Dr. William L. Boyle Jr. has endowed a scholarship fund for Utica-area students whose artistic talents and academic achievement earn them entrance to the PrattMWP program. Awards may be for any educational expenses the students may incur at PrattMWP. It is hoped that the recipient will return to the area after completing their Baccalaureate Degree.
Dean of the School of Art Robert Baber will select the recipients annually from the pool of qualified students. “Dr. Boyle’s commitment to education will allow area students to pursue their passion for the arts at one of the country’s finest private art colleges,” Baber said.
PrattMWP is the upstate campus of internationally renowned Pratt Institute providing world-class fine art instruction in central New York. Students enroll in the Pratt four-year bachelor of fine arts program, complete the first two years on our Utica campus, and then relocate to Pratt's Brooklyn campus to finish their degree requirements.
Named scholarship funds at PrattMWP provide a way to honor or memorialize special people in perpetuity. Endowed scholarships may currently be established for as little as $5,000. For information, contact Campaign and Fundraising Manager Joe Silberlicht at 315-797-0000 x2297, or by Email
