Events & Exhibitions
A renowned art collection, fascinating exhibitions, and education programs are presented in a landmark 1960 International-style museum building and in historic Fountain Elms. Touring exhibitions feature selections from major collections worldwide.
The art collections feature 20,000 paintings, drawings, sculptures, decorative arts, photographs, and works on paper. There are works by Picasso, Dali, Pollock, Frankenthaler, O'Keeffe, Kandinsky, Copley, Rothenberg, Stella, Whistler and Thomas Cole.
The Education Department offers a variety of guided tours, slide talks and special programs for educators, students, and children and families, along with a wide variety of public programs offered in association with Museum of Art exhibitions.
Located inside the Academic Center, the Library boasts an impressive collection of more than 26,000 titles, including art, periodicals, reference materials, online databases, video, and music.
The Gift Gallery offers a superb variety of unique items from around the world. Included are fine art reproductions, handmade jewelry, books on art and artists, exhibition catalogs, greeting cards, toys, MWPAI souvenirs, glassware, pottery and decorative art.
