Tours for
School Groups
The Education Department offers a variety of guided tours to acquaint students with original works of art and to enhance curricula at all grade levels. Tours are approximately one hour in length and are conducted by appointment Tuesday through Friday, generally at 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 1 p.m. Tours must be scheduled at least three weeks in advance. To prepare students for their museum visit, the Education Department offers slide sets with descriptive scripts for classroom use in introducing Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute, and Museum of Art collections, including Fountain Elms. Slide sets may be borrowed free of charge for a period of 10 days. To schedule a tour or borrow a slide set, phone (315) 797-0000 ext. 2170.
